First to find the net was Wallace, followed by Williams to give them the half time advantage. Both teams came out for the second half prepared to take the game, but Falcons seemed to be putting more pressure on the Clerkenwell back four, this resulted in a corner, a well crossed corner from Downer found the head of Wallace to give him, his second of the game. Clerkenwell then pushed into the Falcons half and an incident in the box gave them a penalty, but a fine performance by Fenton kept the ball out of the net. Ransome placed the ball on the spot, but the keeper stood his ground and parried the ball back into the path of Ransome who then quickly put the ball into the net to give Falcons, a head start. Borough then started to respond to the early goal and soon produced an equaliser. This then made Falcons put pressure on the Borough team, and a good through ball found Wallace unmarked, and he found the net to put Falcons ahead. Next up was Williams, he made a good run through to put his goal away and put Falcons two goals ahead at half time. Both teams returned for the second half playing well, but it was Williams who found a sliced ball to his advantage and he took his second of the game. Borough then reversed the tables and put pressure on the Falcons defence and pulled a goal back. The two teams returned for the second half both playing well, Phoenix were, pushing into the Falcons territory, but it was the determination and strength of the Falcons back four and midfield that kept them from from scoring. Falcons then put the boot onto the other foot and changed the game around, first to find the net was Ikenma, closely followed with two by Wallace, then there was another fine link up of passes, which saw the ball float over the heads of the Phoenix defence and land at the feet of Wallace, who was then set for his hat trick, only for him to be brought down in the box and be awarded a penalty, this was placed onto the penalty spot by Ransome, who put it past the keeper, a much deserved win for the Falcons.
